I often observe these clouds or night sky, it makes me so happy. Wish I could work on Kalidasa's 'Meghdoot -the cloud messenger' someday. Can we work on some date back to 5th century C.E.? No wonder it would be so much fun. Technologies, crafts and the magic of story telling will blow your sense away from your previous visual experiences. You may find yourself in a different era at the time when light will be off and the screen will be fade in. The power of natural sound & proper images will start to occupy your mind slowly. All of a sudden you find that you are sitting with the key characters of our vedic times.

It is a new genre in Sanskrit literature, 115/120 stanzas poem Meghdoot is divided into two parts Purva-megha and Uttara-megha. The treasurer of Gods, Kubera has a group of divine attendants working for him, called the Yakshas. One of these Yakshas was so smitten and obsessed with his wife that he ignored his duties and banished from Alakapuri, takes refuge in Ramgiri, shares his sorrow with a cloud, and requests the cloud to go and tell his beloved in Alakapuri. The Yaksha then starts to describe the route the cloud should be taking. The description is so captivating and so vivid, that one can actually feel like scenes are flashing in front of him. Then Kuber, fortunately heard this prayer and remitted the rest of his exile and thus Yaksha could again unite with his wife. On its way to the city of Alakã, on Mount Kailash (Himalayas), where Yaksha’s wife stays, the cloud would traverse through a beautiful land, whose fabulous description forms the main essence of the lyric poem.

Read about stories of Yaksha and you will get the answer why it is my dream to bring it on silver screen. There are so many reasons & attractions that one can get from this untold love story, the way visuals comes out through the narratives it is really mesmerizing.

*Yaksha (Sanskrit यक्ष ) are a broad class of nature-spirits, usually benevolent, but sometimes mischievous and sexually aggressive or capricious caretakers of the natural treasures hidden in the earth and tree roots.(wiki)
